EB-PLATE. Generate and analyze countlessself-assembled spheroids with our completely reusable EB-PLATE. We designedthis HTS-compatible spheroid microplate to offer you a zero-waste alternativeto single-use plastic round bottom microplates. EB-PLATEs featurestandard-sized frames with autoclavable, biologically inert, non-degradable andnon-toxic inserts. The unique well design enables the highly reproduciblegrowth of uniform EBs right in the center of the well! Although the plates areoptimized for automated screening platforms, they are also a greatenvironmentally friendly option for anybody who only needs to use a few wellsat a time. When you are done, simply renew and reuse the microplate over andover and avoid tons of garbage!

We designedthe OMEGAAG device to help you easily study axonguidance and chemotactic factors in vitro. This advancedmicrofluidic device for neurons has 4 chambers that are each connected toa central viewing area via a series of microfluidic microchannels.Thanks to these microchannels, you can easily establish uniform gradients ofchemotactic factors in the viewing area and perform axon guidanceexperiments such as growth cone turning assays.
Of course,just like our OMEGA series, the OMEGAAG devices feature openchambers for even more versatility and come ready-to-go and pre-bonded to glassso you can start your experiments right away!
OMEGA-NMJ
Eachexperimental unit of this specialized microfluidic co-culture device consistsof one neuronal chamber and one muscle chamber connected bymicrochannels. To aid the formation of stable and mature 3D skeletalmuscle microtissue, the muscle chamber contains twobuilt-in micropillars that serve as anchor points.
TheOMEGANMJ employs microfluidic microchannels to fluidicallyisolate the adjacent chambers. This provides physical distance betweenthe neuron and skeletal muscle cultures while allowingneuronal axonal projections full access to the 3D muscle tissue.
Each OMEGANMJ featurestwo experimental units so you can easily collect more data. As always, alldevices come ready-to-go and pre-bonded!
OMEGA-MP
Advanceyour skeletal muscle research projects and implement new 3D cellculture technologies with our OMEGAMP 3D skeletal muscle device series!
Each culturechamber of OMEGAMP contains two built-in micropillars that serve asanchor points for the 3D muscle culture. Simply watch your cells self-assembleinto a stable and mature skeletal muscle microtissue (see video belowfor an example). Once sufficiently matured, these 3D microtissues twitch andcontract as you would expect from skeletal muscle.

EB-DISK
Formcountless self-assembled embryoid bodies(EBs) or spheroids with our EB formation devices. Wedesigned the EB-DISKs to facilitate growing large quantitiesof uniform EBs on a small footprint without requiring much of yourtime.
Theunique microwell design ensures highly reproducible growth ofspheroid cultures. EB-DISKs are available in 137, 360 or948 microwell format so you can easily grow up to 948 EBs in a singleculture dish. Best of all? Change the media for all EBs in just a fewseconds! Transferring EBs is rapid and gentle too! And if you want,renew and reuse the EB-DISK!

Applications
NEURONAL COMPARTMENTALIZATION
Neurons seeded in a single chamber of the OMEGA device will project theirneurites through the microchannels into the adjacent chamber. Fluidic isolationof one chamber from the other by controlling the direction of the pressure headthrough the microchannels allows for the fluidic separation of neuronal somasfrom their projecting axons. Each of these neuronal components can then betreated and analyzed separately.
COMPARTMENTALIZED UPTAKE EXPERIMENTS
Examine compartment-specific uptake, intraneuronal transport, andpropagation of toxic or misfolded proteins such as tau, amyloid-β, α-synuclein,TDP43, or prion PrP. The fluidic isolation of compartments with the OMEGAdevice stops the extracellular travel of applied molecules to the adjacentcompartment, providing researchers with the utmost confidence in theinterpretation of results.
CO-CULTURE APPLICATIONS
Motor neurons/ skeletal muscle co-culture. Motor neuron somas never come into direct contactwith skeletal muscle. Instead, study a physiologically relevant neuromuscularjunction using OMEGA devices. Ideal for neuromuscular disorder applicationssuch as ALS and Kennedy’s disease (SBMA).
Otherco-culture applications:
Nigrostriatalpathway - Dopaminergic neurons / GABAergic neurons: Replicate this classicdopaminergic pathway in vitro for Parkinson’s disease research.
Nociceptionand mechanosensation - Co-culture sensory neurons (e.g. DRGs) adjacent toskin fibroblasts to form an excellent pain model.
Myelination- Examine the myelination potential of oligodendrocytes co-cultured in thesomatic or axonal neuronal compartments, or both!
Investigatethe brain-gut axis by co-culturing vagal, sympathetic or spinal afferentfibers adjacent to gastrointestinal explants or self-assembles gut organoids.
