Volume Scattering Microscopy NSM, with NSM you can see individual nanoscale objects moving inside nanofluidic channels.
Technical Features:
1. Resolution to 20 kDa mass and 1.5 nm size, and small sample volume required
2. Avoid introducing bias by introducing labels or complex surface functionalization
3. Two key measurements in one trial; mass (molecular weight) and size (hydrodynamic radius)
Achievable functions:
1. Measure the mass of each molecule
2. Measure the diffusion coefficient to determine the hydrodynamic radius of a single molecule. .
3. Study the dynamics of molecule-molecule or molecule-substrate interactions.
4. Calculate the number of molecules in the solution. get the mass and size distribution
