The 1500A myocardial and smooth muscle small tissue test system allows researchers to accurately measure various mechanical relationships and parameters of small tissues on a high-reliability and reproducible basis, such as: length-tension, force-contraction rate, work cycle and hardness. Given unlimited space for configuration and adjustment, three different assemblies have versatility and can accurately measure the strength and length of some small tissues. Each combined experimental platform device is equipped with a micron-level XYZ position regulator to adjust the position of our 400A series force sensor, 322C high-speed length manipulator and 300C dual-mode sensor.
Technical principle:
By connecting muscles or tissues to the cantilever of the force sensor through a unique slit on the side of the bath, and using an appropriate upper cover on the top of the bath, the overall design becomes ideal for use in artificial muscle structures or oxygen consumption experiments. Device-The oxygen consumption experiment requires a closed environment. Under the operation of the system, the strength or length of the sample can be measured or controlled, from simple tension to other more complex mechanical properties can be measured. Signal acquisition and data management can be completed through the cooperation between software and standardized solutions, transforming complex experiments into simple and direct measurements. In addition, the system also provides a metal base on which the test platform device can be placed for easy storage, and it also makes the movement of the platform device between the base and the (stereoscopic or inverted) microscope safer and more convenient.

In 2008, Dr. Carter Ralphe of the University of Wisconsin attempted to measure the force and contractility of tissue structures in an oxygen-sealed environment. Without time to develop a custom solution, Dr. Ralphe sought help from the equipment supplier. Unfortunately, he wasted a lot of time and money trying to get equipment from other manufacturers that did not work. Although the other manufacturer eventually refunded the money, it took more time and effort to get them to agree to take back their product.
solution:
Dr. Ralphe consulted Aurora Scientific for the design of a custom oxygen sealing cap, which will be used with an improved version of our 801C. The redesign allows the device to operate in oxygen consumption mode or conventional bath configuration. The custom chamber can also easily integrate Aurora Scientific's industry-leading 400 series sensors, which have the sensitivity required to test small and delicate structures.

With this instrument, Dr. Ralphe was able to successfully complete his experiments and continue to publish influential results. He now has two units, expanding his research capabilities. Dr. Ralphe also recommended this device to other researchers, and they have already released it themselves. The 801C-300 has since become a standard modification and has become part of our 1500A series of small intact muscle testing systems.
