Purpose: Space charge measurement using acoustic technology has become a common method for studying the dielectric properties of solid materials. The pulse electroacoustic (PEA) method has been used in various industrial applications. For example, it can be used for the evaluation of ion conductive materials, high-voltage insulating materials, the research and analysis of the internal charge, electric field and potential distribution of materials, which can detect the charge distribution in real time and convert it into space charge distribution. It is used for insulators, electrostatic resins, and organic materials. Photoconductor, ion migration, etc. A typical PEA system can measure the space charge distribution in the thickness direction of the sample at a repetition rate of milliseconds, with a resolution of about 10 microns.
